The cooperative system was built to solve challenges farmers can't tackle alone. That's why CHS and OCP North America have announced a proposed joint venture to build the first new phosphate fertilizer production facility in the United States in 40 years. The project would help provide farmers and cooperatives with access to a more reliable domestic source of phosphate-based fertilizer, helping strengthen U.S. agriculture for generations to come.

Thursday the Watne family hosted “Fun on the Farm”, an event designed to showcase life on the farm for the young people. From equipment rides, ranching, seeing different grains that are raised and farm safety. We were honored to be a small part of it. Jeff and Zach showed people how some chemicals and other items can be confused like wood pellets vs rodent pellets, windex vs Gatorade and many other things. Very similar in appearance and if not stored in the correct labeled packaging these items can present dangers and safety risks.
It was great seeing the next generation of producers and a helping bring real life perspective to life on the farm. Great job Jeff and Zach.
