Nathan Boll recently hosted a delegation from the EPA and the state at his farm for an in-depth discussion on farming practices, focusing on key topics such as input costs, equipment expenditures, and cropping decisions. DAP was invited to attend and provide insights from a retailer's perspective. The session effectively highlighted the complexities of farming as a business that operates year-round, beyond planting, harvesting, and marketing. A comprehensive Q&A session followed, during which attendees observed equipment demonstrations and learned about their operational mechanics. Nathan demonstrated exceptional hospitality by allowing guests to operate tractors within the farmyard. This event successfully bridged the gap between agricultural professionals and those unfamiliar with farming practices, promoting greater understanding. We appreciate Nathan's invitation to contribute to agricultural education.
Our new fertilizer plant at the Newburg location is currently receiving equipment deliveries, and assembly has commenced. With favorable weather conditions, our maintenance team anticipates that the plant will be fully operational by fall. We appreciate having a skilled team that can construct these plants with minimal reliance on external contractors, thereby saving costs. Great job, team!
